Ahueni is a Swiss-registered AG, with non-for-profit statutes. We participate in developing carbon credit projects. Our strength as a partner in carbon finance is the ability to secure agile financing with little bureaucracy involved. Our mission is to be an involved partner in project development and thus provide high-quality carbon credits to a growing network of selected buyers of carbon offsets.

Through our investments and participation in Carbon Credit Projects, we are ensuring standards to meet the quality requirements that our owners and network of investors depend on in their Greenhouse-gas offsetting strategy. We provide long-term access to carbon credits, full transparency and guidance in offsetting strategy. As a part of our network, our partners will also get the possibility to engage in conservation programs benefiting biodiversity and local communities.
One Mara Carbon Project
Carbon Finance in Maasai Mara
Bordering to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, wildlife conservancies have been established by the Maasai to govern their landowner interests, protection of wildlife and the ecosystem as a whole. Ahueni works together with the Maasai Mara Wildlife Conservancies Association (MMWCA) to develop carbon finance in the area. The first verification is expected in 2024/25. Ahueni is currently evaluating a short-list of additional projects to engage in as well.
